Surfacing and Soft fall

Island Recreation provide a variety of solutions for soft fall requirements in playgrounds from wet pour rubber and synthetic grass to loose fill solutions like sand and pine bark.

Mixing solutions on a project can often provide a balance between low maintenance, consistently compliant rubber solutions, plush green synthetic grass and economical pine bark areas providing a natural landscaped aesthetic.

Island Recreation wet pour rubber surfacing provides a safer surface for play spaces, fitness spaces, access paths and surrounding areas.

We can assist you with product selection, colour design and budgeting. When planning a new playground with rubber surfacing, it is important to understand the Free Height of Fall (FHOF) & Fallzone.

Every piece of equipment has a FHOF specification which determines the soft fall requirements specific for the piece of equipment. Equipment with a higher FHOF will require an increase in rubber depth providing additional protection for any child playing on the equipment. The FHOF of your equipment will have an impact on the cost of providing wet pour rubber solutions.
